Below are samples of designs and shematics (wireframes, site maps, process flows, etc.) in PDF format. All agency, client, and project names have been redacted for confidentiality reasons.
Wireframes
Facebook "Quilt" Application
View/Download Sample Wireframe (PDF)
This Facebook application, a virtual quilt creator, was designed for an oncologoy/pharma client. Visitors can create a quilt using their Facebook album photos, standard/default images, and colors.
Video News Integration

A Pharmaceutical client asked us to integrate video news into one of their medical news websites. Many "ideal approaches" were out of scope, such as upgrading the website to a resolution larger than 800x600. We recommended a Lightbox style approach because, among other reasons, it would allow us to maximize the use of screen real estate for video display.
"Scientific Request Process" Form

A Pharmaceutical client asked us to integrate a "Scientific Request Form" on one of its websites for Health Care Professionals. The form had to collect basic information from the visitor, as well as timeframe(s) in which the visitor could be called back. The Interaction Design (IxD) for the timeframe portion was challenging and enjoyable to work on. It was partially inspired by scheduling functionality within Google's calendar application.
Site Maps
Recipes Site Map
View/Download Sample Site Map (PDF)
A Pharmaceutical client manufactures and sells a product for Chemotheraphy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV). The client asked us to develop a "Recipes" section for their product website. These recipes are healthful and appropriate for patients undergoing chemotherapy. Recipes in this taxonomy are not mutually exclusive. Most recipes are listed within multiple categories.
As a side note, I always strive to use Jesse James Garrett's Visual Vocabulary as a standard when creating site maps and even process flows.
Process Flow Diagrams
FDA and Pharma Client Approval Process
View/Download Sample Process Flow (PDF)
Like all pharmaceutical companies, this client must comply with FDA regulations. This client regularly updates the Prescribing Information (PI) document that accompanies every prescription drug, and in doing so, they must communicate with the FDA and obtain approval. This flow diagram is from a discovery portion of the project where we sought to understand the arcane and arduous process of back and forth communication between our client and the FDA. Ultimately we recommended software approaches for optimizing the exchange of electronic documents, tracking changes, etc.
Similar to the site map above, this schematic uses Jesse James Garrett's Visual Vocabulary as well as standard symbols for process flows.
